Layne Campos

My work tends to focus on the evolution of a man and his journey through life. It's something I never realized but after noticing it in my process, I've become pleased with it. Creating art that catches the eye, and speaks both to the viewer and myself is what really drives my passion for art. I am fascinated by the idea of combining different styles to create one installation. I am heavily influenced by rap and hip/hop artist such as Scott Mescudi and Kendrick Lamar. Music helps me visualize and interpret different stories in my own way as a person. The styles of graffiti artist Apache and water color artist Silvia Pelissero also fascinate me as an artist. The inspiration I receive from these different artists is only a small portion of what I see everyday that helps me with the next piece of art. Even though my mind might wander an artist never stops designing. I believe that the final product is something to be happy about but the process that lead in that path is also meaningful as an artist.
